Peter Schmeichel has hinted that Jude Bellingham was correct to snub Manchester United's advances before sealing a move to Borussia Dortmund.
The former Birmingham City midfielder has been in electric form for England so far in Qatar, none more so than during the Three Lions' 3-0 victory over Senegal on Monday evening. A constant livewire throughout, Bellingham was directly involved in both of England's first two goals, first setting up Jordan Henderson, before playing in Phil Foden, who laid the ball square to Harry Kane to score a second.
With rumors again intensifying about just where the teenager's immediate future lies, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are all known to be interested, with some reports suggesting the Dortmund man could now cost upwards of £150m.

Speaking to BBC 5 Live earlier today, the former United shot-stopper insisted Bellingham has been nurtured in the correct manner during his time in the Bundesliga, as he said: "He's a unique talent who has versatility in those positions.
"What is key is where he is now, he's at Dortmund, there is a different upbringing in Germany to young players, they train them, mold them in a different way, work on their personalities, work on how they project themselves and how they give them media training.
"It's very clear and obvious between how he projects himself to the world, I agree, he looks like a captain in the making if that is for England or wherever he goes, he has that type of character," added Schmeichel. "It's impressing to see players at age be so far in their development and can have an impact like at this level - the highest level in football."
