Peter McGrail has admitted he will have 'unfinished business' on his mind when he fights on the undercard of the huge showdown between Naoya Inoue and Paul Butler in Tokyo.
Butler will fight Inoue in Tokyo on December 13 after being elevated from interim to full champion in May. And it has now been confirmed that McGrail (5-0, 4 KOs) will feature on the undercard of the show in an eight-round contest against Hironori Miyake at the Ariake Arena.
McGrail extended his unbeaten professional run to five fights with a TKO victory over Alexander Espinoza at Probellum Liverpool II on Saturday night. The huge Everton supporter delivered a performance worthy of his billing, as he broke the spirit of Espinoza and forced him to retire at the start of round six.

McGrail is now preparing to return to the city where he saw his Olympic dreams crash at the first hurdle after suffering a shock defeat to Thailand’s Chatchai-decha Butdee last year. However, the 26-year-old is ready to draw a line under the disappointment and end 2022 with a bang.
He said: “I've got unfinished business in Japan. The last time I was there, I had a belter of a trip with the team, a trip that will be me for the rest of my life, and I'm proud of where I got to, as an amateur and going to the Olympics, but I just feel as though I've got unfinished business.
“And it would be nice to go over there and get the win. I should've got a few wins when I was there last time, but it's a different game now, that was the amateurs, but I've got unfinished business.”
Before he added: “I'm looking forward to going back because when we went, it was during Covid, so I've only seen Japan looking out of buses and looking from balconies.
“I didn't get to see what it's about and obviously I didn't get the result we wanted. So, we'll be going over there, getting the result we want, and I'll be with my team, making good memories.
“We were in Dubai at the start of the year, I headlined my first show in Liverpool in my fifth fight, in my first 10 rounder, so things are looking good.”
