Kemi Badenoch has hit out at Sir Keir Starmer’s “deeply flawed” judgement over appointing Lord Peter Mandelson as UK ambassador to the US despite his links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Lord Mandelson, who was sacked as US ambassador in September 2025, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on Monday after search warrants were carried out at two properties in Wiltshire and Camden, the Metropolitan Police said. He has now been released on bail.
