Peter Kay briefly had to pause his sell-out show in Newcastle last night, when an audience member became unwell - requiring medical assistance.
The stand-up comedian is currently embarked on his sold-out comeback tour, performing all across the country on a number of coveted stages.
And his show at the Toon's Utilita Arena was quickly brought to a standstill Thursday, after a front-row fan was in need of urgent medical attention.

The Mirror reports that Peter, 49, is believed to have instantly rushed off the stage in front of his 11,000 fans in order to try and help the audience member before a wheelchair was later brought out. Speaking to The Sun, an audience member said: "Peter asked if they were being serious, then he asked for the big lights to go on and stewards ran over to see what was going on.
"He then went off stage for around 10/15 mins and one person was seen getting wheelchaired out." Peter is then believed to have returned to the stage after two more members of the audience took ill before saying: "three went down then," and adding he 'hoped they were ok'.
Peter's tour which has seen him return to the stage for the first time in several years is set to continue through until August 2023 at Sheffield's Utilita Arena. The northerner is donating £14,000 to a children's charity – totalling £1 from every ticket sold for his first gig at London's O2 arena.
Donated funds will go to a Secret Santa fund which touched the comedian's heart. Sharing the news, last year, Peter said: "I was coming down on the way here and I thought about what we should do because it's Christmas.
"I think Christmas is about doing good things for other people so we’re gonna take a pound off each of you. I'm going to put it in a children's charity and I was looking at my phone on the way down and I found one called Action for Children."
