Peter Crouch reveals why he 'hangs on' to watch Jurgen Klopp after Liverpool games

Former Liverpool forward Peter Crouch has labelled Jurgen Klopp as the "biggest moaner" of the Premier League season.

The Reds boss has had an extraordinary campaign, leading Liverpool to within one point of Premier League glory and the Champions League final, which they will play on Saturday against Real Madrid.

Klopp has already lifted two pieces of silverware this season too, with the Reds beating Chelsea on penalties in both the FA Cup and League Cup finals.

The German is well known for wearing his heart on his sleeve and that can manifest in some passionate moments both during and after the game. Klopp's fist pumps towards the Kop or the away end have become trademark.

But it can also mean Klopp gets spiky with interviewers following a difficult result, something Crouch has referenced in his column for the Daily Mail.

"Well, all of them whinge – especially the top managers. Jurgen Klopp probably just edges it," he said when picking his 'Biggest Moaner' of the season.

"The biggest characters are winners: Ferguson, Mourinho, Benitez were always like that. It's always everybody else's fault when they lose, none of them accept defeat well. I don't think any of the current crop cover themselves in glory when they lose.

"And that's because they are winners. It's cracking TV, isn't it? You hang on for their interviews."

Crouch spent three seasons at Liverpool, winning the FA Cup in 2006 and scoring 42 goals in 134 appearances.
