Peter Andre has weighed in on Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown’s engagement to Jon Bon Jovi’s son.
Last week, the 19-year-old appeared to confirm Jake Bongiovi, 20, had got down on bended knee when she shared a candid black-and-white shot of them together, in which she sported an eye-catching diamond on her ring finger.
Alongside the sweet photo, Brown quoted a lyric from Taylor Swift’s 2019 song Lover, captioning the post: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all”.
Although Brown hasn’t explicitly said that she’s engaged, instead opting to let her photos do the talking, she was inundated with messages from a slew of famous friends, including Ashley Tisdale, Paris Hilton, and co-star Noah Schnapp.
While the couple have faced criticism for their decision to marry young, Andre, 50, was more focused on the Enola Holmes actress having a recurring letter in her married name.
In his OK! magazine column, he wrote: “Am I the only one noticing that her name could end up being Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi – that’s a lot of Bs!”
The music star then revealed that he has met Millie’s future father-in-law and heaped praise on the young duo as they celebrate the milestone.
Andre added: “I’ve had the privilege of meeting Jon Bon Jovi a few times and he’s great, so if his son is anything like him, he and Millie will make a lovely couple.”
The Mysterious Girl’s comments come after Brown gave fans another glimpse of her diamond ring as she promoted her new coffee brand, Florence by Mills Coffee, last Thursday in a new Instagram video.
Concluding the promo clip, she then blew a kiss to the camera using her left hand and flashed her new sparkling accessory.
After sharing the post, fans commented in their droves about her engagement ring and shared their delight to see it again.
One penned: “NGL, I really just wanted a ring sighting… was not disappointed.”
“THE RINGGGG AHHH,” another commented. A third then remarked: “The ring in her finger!”
Brown rose to fame as Eleven in the 1980s-set science-fiction series Stranger Things on Netflix and went on to play Enola Holmes in the streaming giant’s film of the same name and its sequel.
While playing the teenage sister of the famous fictional Victorian detective, she solves crimes and also stars opposite Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes, while their mother is played by Helena Bonham Carter.
Brown’s other acting parts include 2019’s Godzilla: King Of The Monsters and a sequel, Godzilla Vs Kong, in 2021.
