Peter Andre has heaped praise on his eldest son after the launch of his debut single Slide which is currently climbing the charts.
The 90s hit-maker, who is mentoring son Junior on launching his own pop career 30 years after he himself burst into the business, gushed on Instagram sharing shots of the UK top 10 on iTunes.
Posting another shot of him embracing his son, Peter gushed: "You have no idea how proud I am of you tonight son."
Teen sensation Junior shared a screen shot of his dad's post back to his own Insta adding: "Love you dad."
Junior's debut single, released on download at midnight, is currently Number 4 on the iTunes chart and has been met by positive response from young music lovers hailing it the perfect summer time tune.
Appearing on stage at a launch event this week, Junior wore a matching red tracksuit as he performed the energetic track for the first time.
Dad Pete, who scored a number one with his former single Mysterious Girl, shared a screen shot of the current chart rankings with the plea: "Let's get him to Number 1."
One fan penned on Pete's post: "Yess have a lovely day! So proud of Junior he’s smashed it!!"
Another added: "Proud dad right there. have a great day mate and J is gonna smash it."
A third posted: "Have a great day. Well done to Junior very catchy song."
Alongside managing Junior, who is signed to Columbia records, Pete is juggling his own work schedule and appears busier than ever as he shared a video message to followers from a car en route to a photo shoot before returning to the stage tonight for Touring production of Grease.
He updated fans of his movements before signing off the video: "Happy release day son!"
He later shared a shot of Junior signing posters as he reminisced about his own launch.
He penned: "30 years ago I was doing my first signings of posters. And now my son is hard at work."
With a cheeky nod to the fame he received as a teen pin-up, he added: "As for the girls……"
Junior, who celebrated his 17th birthday this week, was gifted a luxury moor from his former pop star father and is now looking to get his first lessons for his licence.
But meanwhile the young pop stars mum, former glamour model Katie Price, was notably absent from his launch event, as she is on the road for her make up masterclass tour.
She did however share two screenshot one of Juniors own post with him appearing on stage and another of Slide single on iTunes adding: "Proud of you @officialjunior_andre"
