Former The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks has admitted to a recent awkward encounter with footballer Declan Rice in a public toilet.
The reality star, 35, was speaking to Jamie Laing, 34, on his Private Parts podcast, when he revealed the embarrassing exchange.
Explaining he'd been to see Elton John in concert, Pete said: "I'm in the toilet and a drunk geezer's come in... there's a guy at the cubicle.
"The drunk guy says 'f**k you, you look like you play football, but you look like a gay footballer' – I had a feather boa on – 'You look like Declan Rice.'
"I said: 'Mate you should bring your bird in here and I'll s**g her and I'll prove I'm not gay. Also I'm better at football than Declan Rice'."
Unbeknown to Pete, the West Ham star was just inches away, as he admitted: "And then I turned around and it was Declan Rice at the urinal."
As Pete held his head in his hand in mock shock, Jamie burst out laughing, spluttering: "Oh my God!"
Pete's awkward encounter comes after he has been teasing a budding romance with Countdown queen Carol Vorderman recently, following his proposal last month to be "one of her special friends".
He admitted he wanted to get closer to the I'm A Celebrity star 62, in an unexpected revelation.
After the mum-of-two found out about Pete's confession in a video with This Morning's Holly Jay-Smith, she started following him on Instagram.
Pete followed up the high-jinx with a flirty message, saying: "Ready when you are Carol…"
In an update, the TOWIE star shared: "There's been a lot of hoopla about me and a potential new romance with Carol Vorderman – f***ing everywhere.
"So last week on the podcast just as we were leaving, Sam called everyone back in for the Carol Vorderman saga, which I then re-tweeted – me and Carol had a bit of back and forth on Instagram, which I was very happy about," he revealed on his podcast with Sam Thompson, Staying Relevant.
"It then went into the press, and all the press picked it up. It went everywhere, where it was 'Carol Vorderman linked with Pete Wicks'.
"I've been linked with a lot of women but none as fabulous as Carol Vorderman, so I am over the moon."
He then revealed the flirty exchange with Carol on Instagram, where he confessed: "The last thing I said to Carol was 'ready when you are'."
Asked if the maths whizz replied, Pete confirmed she did, saying: "Yeah, she went, 'Ooo'."
In January, Carol discussed the 'system' she put place with her lovers.
Appearing on Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers, she admitted she has been having the "best time" as a fabulous lady in her sixties.
