Pete Taylor marked the 10th anniversary of daughter Katie winning Olympic gold by sharing a throwback picture of the two in the aftermath of her historic achievement.
In it, he said simply: "Unforgettable day 10 years ago today."
The London Games were the first to include women's boxing with Katie having led the charge to make it an Olympic sport.

And given her dominance over the sport in the years beforehand, there was massive pressure on her to deliver in addition to being Team Ireland's best medal hope.
Sure enough, the Bray Bomber handled it all remarkably well and despite a hard-fought final bout against Russian Sofya Ochigava, won gold in one of the greatest Irish sporting moments of all time.
Thousands of Irish fans flocked to the Copper Box Arena in London that day to cheer her on while countless others watched on big screens set up in Bray and other locations around the country.
It was a fantastic Games overall for Ireland from a boxing point of view as Paddy Barnes, Michael Conlan and John Joe Nevin also secured medals.
There was of course heartbreak for Katie at the following Games in Rio where she came unstuck against Finland's Mira Potkonen.
But while that was a devastating blow, she has responded in the years since like a true champion by forging another groundbreaking path in the pro game.
She has accumulated a 21-0 record in the six years since going professional, becoming the undisputed lightweight champion in the process.
Now 36, she still has no plans to hang up her gloves anytime soon and in the wake of her putting on one of her career-best performances to pip Amanda Serrano in their super-fight last April, who can blame her?
