President-elect Donald Trump has announced Pete Hoekstra as his pick to be US ambassador to Canada. Hoekstra, who previously served as US ambassador to the Netherlands during Trump’s first term, brings a wealth of experience to this new role. Before his diplomatic service, Hoekstra represented Michigan’s 2nd Congressional District in Congress.
