Pete Hegseth Says 'I Robustly Support Israel' After Protester Calls Him 'Christian Zionist' During Confirmation Hearing

Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth responded to a protester who called him a "Christian Zionist" by agreeing with the premise, saying during his confirmation hearing that he "robustly" supports the "state the Israel and its existential defense in the way America comes alongside them as a great ally."

The statement came during a line of questioning by Republican Senator Tom Cotton, who gave Hegseth time to answer to the protester, who was removed from the hearing earlier.
