Pete Hegseth doesn’t want to be photographed at his Iran war briefings

  • The Pentagon has prohibited press photographers from its briefing room following the publication of what staff deemed "unflattering" photos of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
  • This decision came after a March 2 press conference where wire service photographers captured images of Hegseth briefing the media on U.S. and Israel military strikes on Iran.
  • Pentagon spokesperson Kingsley Wilson stated that only one representative per uncredentialed news outlet is now permitted, with official photographs released online for public use.
  • Last year, the Pentagon introduced a rule requiring credentialed outlets to agree not to gather or publish unauthorized information, including declassified or off-the-record conversations.
  • Numerous major media outlets, including Fox News, ABC News, CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, lost their Pentagon press credentials for refusing to sign this restrictive agreement.
