Pete Davidson reveals why he likes being 'lazy' with fashion

Pete Davidson doesn't like thinking about what he's going to wear

Pete Davidson hates "putting effort into" his style choices.

The 32-year-old comedian thinks it's "humiliating" when people try too hard to follow certain trends, and he would much rather continue with his attitude of wearing whatever he wants.

He told WWD's Footwear News: "I’m lazy, and I don’t like putting effort into what I wear. When I see someone in a fresh outfit, I know how long that took.

“We live in a very consumer-based world. There’s a lot of pressure to look a certain way and dress a certain way.

"If I could help anyone in that you shouldn’t give a f*** at all, I try to do that, and I guess it just works for me.”

The former Saturday Night Live star has teamed up with Crocs for the footwear brand's new Do Your Thing campaign, and he thinks it's a strong message for people.

He said: “The Crocs campaign is good because it celebrates individuality and instinctual confidence to just be yourself.

“Some of the most powerful people in the world, none of them are dressed head to toe in designer clothes. Look at Mark Cuban or even Steve Jobs, when he was still around.

"Mark Zuckerberg lost the plot and he’s trying to dress like a frat boy now and it’s weird, but he used to dress like a f****** dork as well."

He insisted that dressing in "head-to-toe designer" doesn't make someone "smart", "powerful" or "better than anyone".

He added: "It just means you went to Saks Fifth Avenue and looked at the mannequin and said, ‘I’ll take that.’ ”

Meanwhile, Pete is glad to team with Crocs considering they have been a staple of his wardrobe for a long time.

He said: “I’ve worn Crocs forever. They’re just comfortable and all I really wanna do is be comfortable as I get older. And Crocs go with everything.

“I like it when I get to work with brands that I actually use, that way it doesn’t feel gross, you know? It was just a really easy fit.”
