Pete Davidson is going to be a dad. The comedian is clearly ready for the transition because he’s already snagged the keys to a proper family mobile—a Honda Odyssey. While not exactly the most exciting option, a minivan is still arguably the best option for most families.
Still, there are ways to make them cool. Step one is reaching out to someone like Tony Angelo. The former drift pro turned YouTube wrench knocks out tons of great builds on his Stay Tuned channel. So Davidson knew his Honda was in good hands with Angelo manning the upgrades.
This build is the first in a series created by eBay, dubbed Built to Spec. The gist is that various figures in pop culture will collaborate with builders or car enthusiasts to create something unique.
Davidon’s van fits the bill perfectly. The Honda Odyssey is ready to battle potholes on the outside, while the inside will keep Pete's child cozy, entertained, and well-fed.
Tony Angelo and his team didn’t simply slap on a set of wheels. This Odyssey features a suspension leveling kit, 2.0-inch suspension lift, Rigid LED light pods, upgraded intake, upgraded brakes, and a new muffler. The wheels and tires are a solid upgrade, though, as the Nomad Convoys provide a steelie-like look. There’s also an ARB retractable awning and cargo box on the roof.
Inside, the van features Pete’s must-have time—a VHS player. Davidson is a movie buff and collects tons of VHS tapes. There’s also a Dometic fridge mounted in the rear, which will prove quite helpful for baby food and other snacks.

We reached out to Davidson to find out why he picked a minivan over some other options.
"The Odyssey just felt right," he told us via email. "I’m in a place where comfort and practicality matter, and I’ve owned one previously and loved it." Surely an SUV or wagon could also fill that role, but Davidson says, "SUVs and wagons feel like you’re trying too hard to be the cool parent. The Odyssey’s just a classic."
"I actually like driving," he says, "so the upgrades make it fun. Little things that make it feel like more than just a car. eBay and Tony made it easy to bring it all together, so I got the performance upgrades I wanted."

Pete already has a healthy rotation ready for the VHS player, too. There will be "some old-school deep cuts for sure," per Davidson. "The Brave Little Toaster is definitely in rotation. And even though it is a TV series, The Sopranos will be a must."
But which films will Pete share with his child as they grow up?
"Some of my favorites from Sandler and Eddie. We’ll start with age-appropriate stuff like Hotel Transylvania and Shrek, and work our way up to Big Daddy and The Nutty Professor as they get older."

If you like Pete’s minivan, you have a chance to buy a similar version. Pete’s matte-black people mover has a twin finished in white. It has nearly the same upgrades as Davidson’s van—minus the VHS player and bottle warming station, mind you. The second van will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to Answer the Call. This nonprofit organization supports the families of fallen first responders in New York City.
You can bid on the van at eBay.com. Bidding ends on December 19.
