Pet expo returns bigger and better

Cavies.

The favourite Pet Expo Thailand returns with a myriad of products and fun activities, at Hall 6-8 on the LG floor of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ratchadaphisek Road, starting today until Sunday from 10am to 8pm.

Organised under the "Steampets Steam Punk" concept by NCC Management & Development, this is the 23rd edition of what has been hailed as the best and the most comprehensive pet fair, with over 300 booths offering everything everyone would want for their beloved furry friends.

Pet food and snacks from top brands including Whiskas, Pedigree, Temptations, iAMS Cat, and Royal Canin are available alongside supplementary food, medical supplies, grooming products, apparel and accessories, training tools and gadgets.

Pet-friendly hotels and accommodation are also there to offer services while many pet hospitals are ready to provide counselling and basic check-ups, free of charge. Among them is Thonglor Pet Hospital which comes with pet products at special prices, a pet toy-making workshop, fortune-telling services for pets and also insurance.

Mini Rex rabbit.

Expect to witness favourite animals at the Pet Village which brings miniature horses, capybaras, dwarf pigs, caracal and sun conure parrots while the Exotic Pet zone features rarely-seen creatures such as pythons, axolotls, raccoons, horned frogs, bearded dragons, leopard geckos and Bengal cats.

Then, enjoy adorable rodents and rabbits of various breeds at the Rabbit & Cavy zone and get up close and personal with the playful and cuddly prairie dogs and ferrets that have their own zones.

To be held at the expo for the first time are two contests -- My Dog Anywhere today at 6.40pm and Skateboarding Dog on Sunday at 4.20pm.

Other activities include the Zig Zag Run, Fence Jumping, High Jump, Pet Challenge and many fun games with prizes up for grabs.

The entry fee is 20 baht. Visit petexpothailand.net or facebook.com/PetExpoClub.
