A Perth restaurant owner and chef said he has been moved to tears after taking the difficult decision to close his business - in large part because of looming sewer works he believes will put off customers.
Graeme Pallister of 63 Tay Street spoke to the PA last week of the sleepless nights he has experienced of late worrying about the possible impact the planned works to upsize a sewer running underneath the street would have on trade.
Scottish Water has warned disruption caused by the works could last the best part of a year as the street will have to be dug up and at least partially closed to traffic to allow workers access to the sewer so they can install new pipes.
