VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh high court in a recent judgement said that persons with ‘flat foot’ are not eligible for the post of Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI).
The high court observed that though having flat foot is not a physical disability, the post of AMVI requires certain physical standards. The persons with flat foot cannot have the kind of grip to that of a person with normal foot while walking and running. As the post of AMVI is not a stationary job, persons with flat foot do not meet the physical standards needed, the high court said.
