A person was taken to hospital after an "incident" in the city centre. Emergency services were called to Welsh Back at around 5.30pm yesterday (August 23).
Police and the ambulance service were both called to the scene. A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 5.27pm on Tuesday, August 23 to an incident in central Bristol.
"Resources we sent included two rapid response vehicles, a doctor, a hazardous area response team, a patient support vehicle, a critical care car and a double-crewed land ambulance. We conveyed one patient to Bristol Royal Infirmary by land ambulance.”

A large presence of emergency services was seen in another area of the city centre yesterday evening (August 23). Police, fire and ambulance were all called to St Augustine's Parade - with emergency vehicles pictured outside the area around the Hippodrome from around 4.30pm.
The ambulance service said it took once patient to the Bristol Royal Infirmary by land ambulance.
