A person has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash on the A90.
Emergency services raced to the scene after the two-car smash on the northbound carriageway at Temple of Fiddles, near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, at around 4.35pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service attended and one person was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.
Officers from Police Scotland quickly closed off the road and several hours later the road remained shut off.
At 9.30pm on Wednesday, July 12, Traffic Scotland advised that a diversion was still in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 4.35pm on Wednesday, July 12, to a report of a two car crash on the A90 northbound at Temple of Fiddes.
“Emergency services attended and one person was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
"The road is currently closed and a diversion is in place."
