A person has been rushed to Southmead Hospital after a crash on a popular commuter route earlier this morning. The crash caused heavy traffic on the B4055 Henbury Road in Bristol as well as surrounding areas.
The incident happened southbound near Henbury Hill at the junction with A4018 Falcondale Road. There was also congestion back to the A4018.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09:03hrs to an incident near Westbury-on-Trym. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital.”
The crash has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal. Avon and Somerset Police has been approached for more information.
