Historic images of the site show it clad in Henry Construction branding but the firm is no longer understood to be operating the premises, which is now clad in white banners.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.28pm today to reports of an incident on Kensington High Street, W8.
“We sent numerous resources to the scene, including three ambulance crews, medics in two fast response cars, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).
“Our first medics arrived in less than three minutes. Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a patient was pronounced dead at the scene.”
