A person has died in a crash on the M62 this morning.
The smash happened on the westbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 23 near Huddersfield at around 4.20am. West Yorkshire Police said just one vehicle was involved.
Tragically, one person died. Another person was also seriously injured.

A stretch of the motorway remains closed this afternoon as investigation work is carried out. Any witnesses are being urged to contact police.
In a statement, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating a road traffic collision which took place on the M62 in the early hours of this morning which has resulted in the death of one person and the serious injury of another. The collision took place on the westbound carriageway, between junctions 22 and 23, at around 4:20am and involved one vehicle.
"The westbound M62 remains closed as enquiries take place to establish what happened.
