A person has died after being hit by a train at Bank Underground station in central London.
Paramedics rushed to the Tube station at 12.07pm on Sunday after reports that a person had been hit. The person died at the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, British Transport Police said.
The Northern line and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) were part suspended while the incident took place, but are now running a good service.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, a person died at the scene.”
British Transport Police told the Standard: “Officers were called to Bank underground station at 12.09pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
In May, a person died on Tube tracks after being chased by police in Colindale.
Officers were alerted to reports of a fight and criminal damage outside Colindale Underground Station.
On seeing police, the trespasser entered the building around 1am on Sunday.
He was followed and officers attempted to detain him inside the station, but he made off onto the tracks and was subsequently fatally injured.
In January a person died on tracks at Sloane Square Underground station. The death was not treated as suspicious.
