PARTS of Scotland been told to brace for flooding after a weather warning was issued.
The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning from 5pm on Sunday until 10am on Monday across parts of the Highlands and Strathclyde.
The weather forecaster said these areas should prepare for "persistent heavy rain" which may bring travel disruption and flooding.
In the West Highlands, the heaviest and most persistent rain is expected from Sunday afternoon through to Sunday morning.
Around 20-44mm of rain is expected widely within the warning area during this period, with 50-77mm in the most mountainous areas.
The Met Office said that there is a chance the most exposed spots could see up to 100mm of rainfall.
The rain is expected to become less heavy during Monday morning.
Journey times will likely become longer due to public transport services being affected, along with spray and flooding on the road.
Commuters have been urged to check road conditions and public transport timetables to avoid delays, and to amend plans if necessary.
The following regions and local authorities are affected:
Highlands & Eilean Siar
- Highland
Strathclyde
- Argyll and Bute
