Permission granted for 136-unit Glasgow housing development

Swan Group has gained planning approval for its proposed development on Royston Road in north west Glasgow.

With approval granted by Glasgow City Council, the 136-unit project - combining both houses and flats - will now move forward alongside PfP Capital.

Swan Group originally gained planning approval for 100 homes on the site, however following delays during the pandemic, the team identified an opportunity to re-assess and determine if the site held the capacity for additional units.

Following discussions with the council, operating partners and PfP Capital, the group was able to re-submit the planning application to increase the size of the scheme.

Phil McGinlay, managing director of Swan Group, said: “We are happy to see our hard work paying off as another stage of the development process is concluded - the team are very excited and determined to ensure the continued success of this development through to completion.”

Swan Group is currently working on multiple ongoing projects in its development pipeline, in addition to considering a variety of new opportunities, as it looks to increase overall capacity and delivery of projects.
