House-hunters who were blindfolded and taken to secret locations in a new Channel 4 property show were "amazed" after discovering one of their favourites was in Clifton Village.
The affluent Bristol property hotspot was home to a townhouse featured in Perfect House, Secret Location, which is hosted by Welsh presenter Steve Jones. In the series, he drives house buyers to see their dream listings according to their criteria - but the twist is that they have no idea where in the UK the houses are located.
Blindfolds and a blacked-out van mean they could be travelling anywhere within driving distance, and it is only towards the end of the show that they learn where the houses are located so they can decide whether or not to make an offer. During the second episode last week (Thursday, March 24) dance teacher Ronnie and psychiatrist Ahmad Khouja from Hartlepool, County Durham, were on the search in the South West.

The couple, who have been married for 14 years, had a budget of £625,000 and wanted to strike a balance between somewhere with rustic, cottage-like charm that was still within easy distance of amenities. They were shown four properties, which turned out to be in Plymouth, Bristol, Wiltshire and Devon.
In Bristol they saw a three-bedroom, two-bathroom Georgian townhouse on the market for £594,000. Steve described it as a "rare treat" and when they first removed their blindfolds to see the exterior, the couple guessed that they were at the edge of a city, either Bath or Exeter.
However, their opinion seemed to change after seeing the interior and they suspected they were somewhere more rural. They shortlisted it as one of their two favourites and went back for a second look later in the episode.
When Steve finally revealed the location on a map, Ahmad said: "I've got the shivers at that. I didn't believe you'd be able to find somewhere like that in Clifton." Ronnie agreed: "That's quite amazing really."
Having been told the locations of all four properties they viewed, Ahmad said: "I'm still a little bit shocked that the townhouse is in Clifton. It's kind of scrambled my brain if I'm being honest but flipped my thinking a little bit - definitely in a good way. It's just an option I hadn't considered."
One viewer tweeted: "@SteveJones loving #PerfectHouseSecretLocation just hope someone actually buys a house during the series! Can't believe that townhouse in Clifton what a find."
Later in the episode when they revealed their decision, Ronnie said: "We thought we were in the countryside - we [guessed] we were outside a barn conversion in Wales, that's where we were with Clifton. In fact it was literally, you turn around the corner, and you were there [in the high street]. It was exactly what I wanted."
Steve agreed: "I told you - it's bonkers."
Despite loving Clifton Village, ultimately they decided to put in an offer on a property they viewed in Ashburton in Devon, but were not successful.
The next episode of Perfect House, Secret Location airs at 8pm tonight (Thursday, March 31) on Channel 4, and the entire series is already available to view on All 4 online.
