Ronan Darcy believes Swindon Town is the 'perfect club' for him and is targeting become a regular for the Robins after his move away from Bolton Wanderers was confirmed.
The 21-year-old has today left the Whites to end a long association with the club after coming through the youth team ranks. He was the final member of the Junior Whites starting XI against Coventry City in August 2019.
He played 35 times for the Whites and scored two goals since making his debut in 2019 after Nottingham Forest. He came off the bench once last season for Wanderers in the home defeat to Wycombe in mid-January.

Darcy had been on trial at Swindon as he explored the possibility of joining the Wiltshire club and forging a career in first team football. He has now moved to the League Two side for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.
And after putting pen to paper on a deal with the Robins, Darcy says he is 'over the moon' to have joined Scott Lindsay's side. He is targeting becoming a regular starter for his new side and is aiming to excite supporters.
Speaking to the club website, Darcy said: “I’m over the moon to be here. I can’t put into words how great it feels. To meet the lads and work under the manager is huge for me and I can’t wait to get started.
“This is the perfect club for me and my aim is to become a regular starter, playing matches week in week out. I want to get fans off their seats, score goals and create opportunities for the players around me – I can’t wait to get going.”
Darcy spent most of last season away from Wanderers spending the first half of the campaign out on loan at Sogndal in Norway, playing nine times in that spell. In the second portion of the season, he headed to Scotland to play for Queen's Park, where he scored once in 10 games.
Robins boss Lindsay is pleased to get Darcy in on a permanent basis after being impressed with what he saw from the Wanderers academy product in a number of friendlies. He believes he will fit in well at the County Ground.
Lindsey said: “Ronan has been training with us for a few weeks now and played really well in the friendlies he’s featured in, so I’m delighted to get the deal over the line and call him one of our players.
“He’s a really good lad who fits in well with the group and has built good relationships with the other players in the short time he’s been here.
“He’s a lovely footballer to watch with a great work ethic, so it was important for me we did all we could to bring him to The County Ground.”
