Perez Hilton's family say the celebrity blogger is lucid, knows what year it is and is communicating clearly with relatives after entering residential treatment, as they reject 'false' reports that he has lost a decade of memory or believes it is 2016.
The family said Hilton has no access to his phone or laptop and has limited contact with others while he focuses on treatment. It described the move into residential care as an important next step but cautioned that 'there's still a long road ahead'.
