Per capita civic tax: Amdavadi sixth top payer in the country

Ahmedabad Bengaluru Chennai

AHMEDABAD: An Amdavadi pays Rs 1,565 for the city's development, the sixth highest per capita municipal tax contribution in the country, which is Rs 15 more than what a Chennai resident pays and only Rs 73 less than a Bengaluru resident's share.

These figures were tabled in a recent meeting of the Union ministry of urban development.
