Peptides Labeled for Research Only Are Not Approved Medicines and People Are Injecting Them Anyway

A category of injectable products is being sold openly online under a label that sounds regulatory but functions as a disclaimer, and a substantial number of people are injecting them.

Peptides including BPC-157, TB-500, semax, and epitalon are marketed with phrases such as research use only or not for human consumption. Those words do not describe a safety classification. They describe a legal position taken by the seller.
