Peperami-obsessed couple who keep basket of the snacks by their bed plan themed wedding

A Peperami-obsessed couple who keep a stash of the packaged sausage beside their bed is set to tie the knot next week with a dedicated themed wedding.

Francesca Brooke-Fenton, 37, and Luke Hindmarsch, 33, from Otley, Leeds, love to do things out of the ordinary and decided their big day wouldn't be any different. They say Peperami - a processed meaty snack - has been a part of their relationship since they first got together two years ago so it only seemed right that it would take centre stage for when they tie the knot on August 11.

They binge on the savoury treat during movie nights at home and take packets along with them to events like picnics - while they also keep a basket full of different varieties in easy reach of their bed.

"We've always wanted to do something a bit crazy, we've always been like that haven't we?" Luke says, addressing his fiancé who he proposed to last New Year's Eve during a stay at a Harrogate hotel when Frankie was heavily pregnant with their baby son, Cielo.

"We genuinely are in love with Peperami," she agrees.

"It's a situational snack that's always got to be at hand.

"Even pre-dating, me and Luke used to watch a lot of films and get a lot of takeaways and we always had a snack basket of Peperami next to us and we still do next to the bed, so it suits us quite well."

Frankie contacted the brand about a month ago and they agreed to get involved in their big day - the first of its kind.

It has been a quick turnaround in planning the wedding, taking place at The Tipis at Riley Green in Preston, with lots of quirky and original surprises from the snack company in store for the pair - as well as a celebrity appearance.

While some additions are being kept under wraps, including the cost, the full-time mum, who is training to be a hypnobirthing instructor, assures there will be plenty of green involved, including her wedding dress.

She will carry a Peperami bouquet down the aisle and when it comes to the wedding cake, Frankie says guests will see "something fun and original."

Their family and friends didn't expect anything less from the couple when they announced their themed wedding, and when Frankie called her mum to give her the news, she didn't bat an eyelid.

"Oh, that sounds fantastic," her mum said.

The couple, who met through mutual friends and prefer to spend time together at escape rooms and scare grounds rather than going for meals out, welcomed their son 13 weeks ago, and as one of the groomsmen, the little one will be donning a matching outfit to his dad.

Luke, who works in home renovations, adds: "I'm really looking forward to actually getting married."

"I'm excited about the surprises," Frankie says, "It'll be the first time that we've had all of our family together, and then to have them together in a crazy environment - it's just very us."
