Guardiola delays Haaland response to send reminder to players
There’s one man on everyone’s lips at City at the moment, with Erling Haaland’s transfer getting everyone around the Etihad looking forward to his arrival in the summer. Everyone apart from Pep Guardiola that is.
The City boss was clearly excited at the prospect of the Borussia Dortmund superstar making the move to Manchester when he spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Wolves. He successfully managed to bite his tongue ahead of the official announcement, leaving everyone waiting in anticipation for his reaction following the win at Molineux.

Despite being asked a number of questions about the Norwegian, Guardiola refused to be drawn too far on the matter. With two games still to go in the Premier League title race, the focus is still very much on holding off Liverpool.
Brazil legend Rivaldo praises Haaland as ‘great weapon’
While Guardiola might not want to be drawn on Haaland’s impending arrival, there are plenty of others willing to give their thoughts on the striker’s move. Among them is Brazil legend and former Ballon d’Or winner Rivaldo.
The former Barcelona and AC Milan star knows one or two things about great players, and he’s tipping Haaland to fit right in at the Etihad. Rivaldo also expects the 21-year-old to help City fight for that elusive Champions League crown.
Speaking to Betfair, the World Cup winner explained: "After two seasons of affirmation in European football with Borussia Dortmund, no one has any doubt any more of the enormous quality of this young player, who will certainly be a great weapon for City to attack next season.”
