Pep Guardiola said Manchester City's second goal at West Ham belonged to Jack Grealish for the work he put into orchestrating it.
Erling Haaland took the headlines for his second of the game, a clinical strike that needed just one touch on the end of a killer ball through the defence from Kevin De Bruyne. After being mocked online for his miss in the Community Shield, it was the perfect riposte from City's new no.9 as he hit the ground running in the Premier League.
Guardiola is happy that his side have a focal point to find from behind, but also wanted to highlight the work that goes into creating the space and conditions necessary to feed Haaland. While he did not get the glory, Jack Grealish was namechecked by his manager for providing crucial help in the build-up to the goal to seal a satisfactory win for the Blues.

"We had a feeling we can look at him (Haaland) a bit more and will find him more - Gundo the first, Kevin the second," he said. "He can move more left, right. Now we have to do it again. The guys have to put the ball there. especially in transitions.
"The second goal was an incredible action for Jack, the goal belongs to him, he keeps the ball, dragged opponents, finds the perfect ball to Rodri, this happens with space and then Kevin is difficult to stop. We'll find many games five at the back in the box. we'll have to find alternatives."
