Pep Guardiola has admitted that he still doesn't know what will happen with Bernardo Silva in the remaining days of the transfer window.
Bernardo wanted to leave City for personal reasons last summer and remains keen on returning to mainland Europe this year, with Barcelona heavily interested in signing the midfield dynamo. The Blues have maintained a stance that they will allow unhappy players to depart the club if they can provide a suitable offer, which has seen Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aleks Zinchenko all depart for Premier League rivals this summer.
However, City are yet to receive any formal bids for Bernardo with 12 days remaining in the window. There's a growing sense that the Portuguese will stay at the club, with Kevin De Bruyne confident of him doing so, but Guardiola still can't guarantee that he will.

"He’s our player," the manager said in his pre-Newcastle press conference. "He knows our wishes as a club, me as a manager and even his mates. What is going to happen? I don’t know."
"I said many times, yes," Guardiola added when asked if he wanted Bernardo to stay.
City signed left-back Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht this week to replace Zinchenko and with that addition Guardiola believes City's business regarding arrivals this summer is complete, unless an unexpected problem - such as Bernardo's departure, perhaps - arises.
"Apparently yes," he replied when asked if City's window was done. "But if someone moves or if there's a problem that we don't expect it maybe happen. But apparently,"
On how new boy Gomez is settling in at City, Guardiola said: "So good so far, no complaints. He is settling into the department, his mood is exceptional and he is starting to know us. Yes [he's ready]. I think so (he will be part of the plans on Sunday)."
