Pep Guardiola may have already explained why Arsenal's Bukayo Saka would be dream transfer

Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka has been linked with a shock move to Manchester City and Liverpool in recent times.

football.london understands that the Gunners will offer Saka over a new contract at the end of the current campaign, with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2024, although ESPN have recently reported that the Reds and City are both keen on the talented youngster.

The England international is the club's reigning player of the year for his consistent displays last season and has established himself as one of Mikel Arteta's most important stars.

The 20-year-old regularly frees up space for his teammates due to his eye-catching dribbling, dribbling past 1.83 opposition players per game in the Premier League this season, whilst also averaging 4.35 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes this term, as per FBref.com.

And Citizens boss Pep Guardiola has previously highlighted the importance of having players that are elite at taking defenders on, perhaps explaining why his side are reportedly interested in the Hale End academy graduate, who often excels in this area.

Speaking about the importance of dribbling, Guardiola previously said: "Today without players who dribble, nothing can be done.

"Attacking a team that is stuck in its own goal, without players who dribble, who do not get you superiority with moves into spaces, is impossible.

"In football you need everything."

The former Bayern Munich manager continued: "I believe whoever has the talent to dribble, he will do it all his life. And if he doesn't have the courage to dribble, he won't be able to impose himself on the useless coach who tells him not to dribble.

"The one who is intuitive and knows how to dribble, he will do it all his life."

Saka has impressed Arsenal fans with his ability to take a defender on one vs one, and supporters will be hoping he pens a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, before Guardiola or Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp try to snatch him from their Premier League rivals.
