Pep Guardiola has already told Mikel Arteta how to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Arsenal

Man City manager Pep Guardiola has already recommended Robert Lewandowski as the 'best' solution for Arsenal as they seek out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's short-term replacement.

Lewandowski, whose current deal runs out in 2023, doesn't seem any closer to a new deal, with the Bayern board reluctant to hand out a new long-term deal to their club legend.

This has therefore alerted several Premier League clubs including Arsenal, who are in desperate need of signing a new number 9 in the summer after the mistakes in the mid-season market regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dusan Vlahovic respectively.

Both strikers have settled into their new sides like a duck to water and despite Alexandre Lacazette's recent resurgence in form, the striker position is still one that cannot be ignored in the upcoming summer transfer window.

And it seems as though alongside the likes of Patrick Schick, Luka Jovic and Jonathan David, Lewandowski's ever-growing uncertain situation with the German giants is being closely monitored by Edu and co who may then make their own move for the record breaking 33-year-old if the opportunity opens up, as Fabrizio Romano has hinted.

"Robert Lewandowski's future situation is absolutely open," Romano wrote on Twitter on Sunday. "He's focused on second part of the season with Bayern - but his current contract expires in 2023 and he wants a new deal to stay. There are still no talks between Bayern and his agent."

The 40 goal contribution player, who is currently under the spotlight due to his contractual situation, could be unwillingly forced out of Bavaria, just like Lionel Messi was forced out of his beloved Barcelona against his will.

If this was to be the case, then Man City's manager Guardiola, who has worked with the Pol in Bavaria for two years before heading over to England, has already told Arsenal and Arteta why he could be the 'best' solution to solving the current Aubameyang conundrum for the summer.

Speaking in 2016, Guardiola said via the Daily Star: "He is the most professional player I have ever met.

"In his head, he thinks about the right food, sleep and training: 24 hours a day.

"He is always there, never injured, because he focuses on these things.

“He always knows what is important to be in the best condition."
