Mikel Arteta could get the first taste of a title challenge as Arsenal manager, especially if the first few games of this season are anything to go by. The Gunners have made a rampant start to the campaign, winning five from their first five to put them amongst the contenders at the top.
The form of those expected to be around the top, the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, have left it wide open, to begin with. While this is expected to take further shape in the coming weeks before the break for the World Cup, Arteta has a shout for his side being real contenders.
The Spaniard has played down those chances so far. However, the likes of Arsene Wenger and Thomas Frank have been very vocal about the Gunners' challenging. Should they do so over the course of the season, the manager will have to pip an old friend to the trophy in Pep Guardiola.
