Pep Guardiola and Kyle Walker have confirmed the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City as Arsenal are set to complete fifth transfer of the summer. The Ukraine international was given a warm sending off as the pair spoke from a press conference in the United States amid pre-season preparations.
The City boss paid tribute to the 25-year-old and detailed his privilege to have enjoyed a 'proper' farewell with the versatility man. Guardiola said: "From myself and on behalf of the club, our gratitude for the effort, for how they behave, on and off the pitch and, yeah, it was nice yesterday with Alex because we could say goodbye properly.
"Unfortunately with Raheem and Gabriel we could not do it because it was the summer time. But, yesterday at dinner together we could say bye to him and move on to Arsenal."
