Research has revealed that the term “happy campers” really does ring true – as those who camp are generally happier and less anxious than those who don't.
The outdoor hobby has been found to boost social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing – with 91 per cent of campers saying they find the pastime relaxing.
And a poll of 10,992 people found that almost all of those who camp (97%) claim it leaves them feeling happy – with 48% of campers more likely to feel happy in everyday life, compared to just 35% of non-campers.
