People rushed to help a man in his 20s who was thrown from his motorbike after a crash with an Audi.
Emergency services received a call at around 6.20pm on Tuesday, September 7, following reports of a crash at the junction of Boundary Street and Regent Road in Vauxhall. Once at the scene, officers found a motorbike and Audi had crashed at the junction, and the bike rider was thrown from his bike following the impact.
The man suffered serious injuries, and despite several people rushing to the man's aid and the best efforts of paramedics, the man died in hospital a short time later. The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the Audi and a passenger had minor injuries and are assisting police with their ongoing investigation. Police are now appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist their enquiries.
Sergeant Amy Murray from Merseyside Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who sadly lost his life yesterday evening. I would also like to thank the members of the public who came to the man’s aid after the incident.
“If you were driving towards the junction of Boundary Street and Regent Street at around 6.20pm or were in the area at this time and have any dashcam or CCTV footage, please review it and get in touch if you see anything that may assist our enquiries.
“Any information, however small it may seem, could prove vital as we seek to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident."
