A sweet friendship between an 11-year-old dog and her elderly neighbour is going viral on TikTok, after her owner shared their touching morning routine. In the original clip, Maisy the golden retriever can be seen wagging her tail and patiently waiting for 90-year-old Richard, a pensioner in a nearby retirement village, to walk past her house.
Richard uses a walker to slowly make his way down the road, while Maisy growls in excitement. Once he reaches her, Maisy approaches him for her morning cuddle and the pair have some quality bonding time together. The same moment happens every single day - and it's melting people's hearts online.
On the TikTok account @mspeelhmb, Maisy's owner posts multiple heartwarming clips of their morning routine, and has racked up over 288,000 likes.
Their most popular video has been watched 1.4 million times, with followers calling it the "cutest thing" they've ever seen.
"Richard in his compression stockings and little shorts is giving me life," one person said, while another commented, "Richard needs an invite to dinner. These two need some more bonding time."
"Wholesome and beautiful… thank you for sharing this goodness," a third wrote, and someone else simply said: "I'm crying."
Maisy's owner explained: "He is on a mission when he walks by. He stays for a couple of minutes and moves on."
In a second adorable video, Maisy can be seen watching Richard's every step as approaches her and calls for his neighbourhood pal.

A third video shows the duo cuddled up close, with Richard sat in his walker to stop and cuddle Maisy.

Her owner explained in a comment that the pair are "good buddies" are both look forward to their morning meetings.

Hattie the cocker spaniel has gone viral on TikTok after her owner posted a satisfying video brushing her beautiful coat, captioned: "I could sit and comb my dog's hair all day long."
The clip was viewed 19.1 million times, attracting envious comments from humans who said the dog's silky smooth hair put their own to shame.
Some jealous TikTokers demanded to know Hattie's extensive haircare routine, while others joked they were going to show the footage to their hairdressers for reference.
