People enjoying a leisurely stroll in Sefton Park have spotted a "duckling killer" heron on the loose.
The bird was seen scooping up ducklings in its beak and eating them - much to the horror of people in the park. The ECHO went down to the park this week to try and catch the killer bird on camera.
We found the bird lurking around the fairy glen searching for prey as it slowly waded through the water. Alice May, 22, said she has seen the heron in Sefton Park on a number of occasions and is "happy it's still thriving".
