Pension, wealth and advisory firm Isio has made three senior promotions in Scotland, growing its offering across offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
John McAleer, Andrew Singh and Tony Hodgson have all been promoted in recognition of their contributions to the growth of Isio’s Scottish business since the firm launched in 2020.
Glasgow-based John McAleer has been promoted to director within the actuarial and consulting practice. He is a leading pension scheme actuary and, in his new role, will help lead growth in the Scottish trustee advisory market.
Andrew Singh has been promoted to associate director in the investment advisory department. He is Isio’s Edinburgh-based head of real assets research, responsible for leading market and fund research across infrastructure, commercial and residential property and natural capital asset classes.
Edinburgh-based Tony Hodgson has been promoted to senior manager in the investment advisory team. He will continue to support and lead investment advice to a wide range of clients, with expertise in the pensions, insurance and charities sectors.
Last week, Isio signed an agreement to acquire Deloitte Total Reward and Benefits (DTRB), the UK pensions advisory business of Deloitte, subject to regulatory approval. Once completed, the acquisition will double the size of the Scottish team.
Julie Gray, head of Isio Scotland and partner, commented: “We have a really strong team in Scotland and we are delighted to be able to celebrate the success of these individuals and recognise the contribution they have made not only to Isio Scotland, but the wider Isio Group.
“At Isio we are proud to do things differently and our fresh approach to client advice has resulted in some fantastic wins over the last 12 months.
“The recently announced DTRB acquisition will expand our team and expertise even further in Scotland. 2023 is set to be a really exciting year for Isio and our clients.”
Formerly KPMG’s UK pensions practice - and backed by Exponent - Isio was launched in March 2020.
In January 2022, Isio acquired Premier Pensions Management.
With a national team of 800 people across nine regional hubs, Isio provides actuarial consulting, pensions administration, investment advisory, employee benefits and wealth management services.
