Man kills neighbour’s fish with detergent because noisy pond was keeping him awake

A man climbed into his neighbour’s garden and used motor oil and detergent to kill his fish and destroy a water pump out of “sheer frustration and lack of sleep”.

Gerry Duffy, 76, of Hadley Road, Barnet, north London, was “driven completely insane” by the sound of a water pump running in his neighbour’s fishpond.
