A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a child in Paisley.
William Stewart appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court where he faced two charges.
The 68-year-old from the town was charged in relation to a Road Traffic Act 1988 and the second being assault to severe injury, danger of life, and attempted murder, reports the Paisley Daily Express.
Stewart made no plea and was released on bail to reappear in court at a later date.
We previously reported how a 68-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a 12-year-old boy following an incident on Ben Alder Drive.
The incident is alleged to have happened around 2pm on Wednesday, October 12.
