A Porsche Boxter is believed to have been driving in the wrong direction on a motorway when it crashed into another vehicle, killing a three-year-old girl. Faye Dawson tragically died in the horror smash on the M6, near Leyland, at roughly 5.50pm on Saturday (November 19).
A 79-year-old man who was behind the wheel of the sports car also died at the scene. The toddler was travelling in a Vauxhall Meriva on the southbound carriageway between junctions 29 and 28 when the collision occurred, Lancs Live reports.
Her mother and a male passenger in the car were also seriously injured in the crash and remain hospital. Lancashire Constabulary have since issued a new appeal for witnesses, especially those with a dashboard mounted camera who may have footage of the fatal incident
