A pensioner has died after being hit by a car on Saturday morning.
The 82-year-old was struck as he walked in Clydebank, near Glasgow, at around 11.45am. The elderly man was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
As reported by STV News, Police Scotland Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died. We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to please come forward."
Anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place in the town's Chalmers Street, has information on what happened or has dashcam footage which could assist the police with their investigation should contact police on 101 and quote incident 1375 of April 15, 2023.
