Police are appealing for information after a 78-year-old woman was left fighting for her life after being hit by a car in Brixton.
The pensioner was left with serious injuries after the incident on Brixton Hill, near the junction with New Park Road just after 10pm on Saturday, May 14.
She was taken to hospital by paramedics where she remains in a “critical condition” 10 days on. Police have informed her next of kin and they continue to be supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and has assisted officers with the ongoing investigation, said police.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward. They said they were particularly keen to hear from any witnesses who saw the collision, or captured it on dash cam.
