The Pennsylvania State Police has confirmed that they provided all resources requested by the United States Secret Service (USSS) during the recent Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. In response to questions about jurisdiction over the building where the shooter took hold before opening fire, State Police Communications Office Director Lt. Adam Reed stated that 40 troopers were deployed to secure the inside perimeter of the venue.
Lt. Reed emphasized that the State Police regularly collaborates with federal partners during large events to ensure the safety of Pennsylvanians. Additionally, Lt. Col. George Bivens mentioned that there were around 30 to 40 State Police members physically present at the site, with additional resources such as aviation support available in the vicinity.
