Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro recently addressed reporters to clarify that he has not been involved in the vetting process for Kamala Harris' campaign. The Democrat emphasized that he has neither received nor submitted any paperwork for consideration.
It was previously reported that Shapiro, along with other Democrats such as North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, had been requested to provide detailed information about their finances, family backgrounds, and other personal information.
When questioned about his potential inclusion in the vice president shortlist, Shapiro expressed uncertainty, stating, 'I don’t know what list I’m on.' He emphasized his current focus on his political responsibilities, particularly on efforts to defeat Donald Trump.
Shapiro reiterated that the selection of a running mate is a deeply personal decision that should be made without political influence. He praised Harris for her past performance as Vice President and expressed confidence in her ability to serve as President if needed.
